TUESDAY PLAYTIME QUILTED

 Erik and I have been computer quilting on the Tuesday Playtime quilt, formally known as Quilters Playcation 2024, for a a few weeks now, off and on.  And it's finally done and off the longarm.  Just needs to be bound now.

PLAYCATION 2024 QUILT TOP

 Over the last few day I've been sewing together the improv blocks from Cheryl Arkison's Quilters Playcation 2024 - all 49 of them.  I finished the top today.

Since I shy away from making square quilts, I made my blocks 10" by 12" because there would be 49 of them.  Which would make a great 7 by 7 blocks quilt.

BLOCK 49 AND DONE

 I finished the Quilters Playcation 2024 improv block - number 49 - the last one!

Then I took everything off the design wall so I could put all of the blocks up to see how it looked.

IMPROV BLOCK 48

Here is the 48th improv block by Cheryl Arkison on Quilters Playcation 2024.  I didn't get to make it last week while I was at the Joe Retreat.  So, I was catching up today.

Only one more to go!

IMPROV BLOCK 47

 I wasn't able to finish the improv block of the week for Quilters Playcation 2024 with Cheryl Arkison on Tuesday.

But, I got it done today.  Two bowls.

FIXED BLOCK 46

 I messed up Block 46 of the Playcation2024 Improv block on Tuesday.

I fixed it today.

ART TUESDAY

 I joined Andrea Chebeleu of Watch.Learn.Play today to make some art for a while.  I'm not sure if I just made a mess or what!  There are parts I really love, so maybe I'll just cut it up and use it somewhere else.

So much fun!  And that's the point.

And, since it's Tuesday, I joined Cheryl Arkison for one of the last Quilters Playcation 2024 improv blocks.  I was doing so well, actually following her instructions and making a block that would look almost like hers and then I trimmed it and no!  I trimmed it a quarter inch too short.  I give up!

TUESDAY BLOCK 45

 Cheryl was back today to lead us in making the 45th block of her Quilters Playcation 2024.

It's a ladder - and mine looks like a ladder.

And, I got another month of blocks made for the SeaMQGBOM2024.

 It's Tuesday!  And it's time for Cheryl Arkison's Quilters Playcation.

Today we made block number 44.

I'm sorry Cheryl.  My block isn't anything like what she was teaching.

 Here's this week's improv block from Cheryl Arkison's Playcation 2024.  It's the 43rd week.

 Here is the 42nd block I made after watching this week's Cheryl Arkison's Quilters Playcation 2024.  I spent about 3 hours piecing together all of these little scraps - I had a lot of scraps.  I'm glad I found a place for them.

 Here is this week's improv week from Cheryl Arkison's Quilters Playcation 2024.  She is in her new studio space and is very happy.

WEEK 39

 Cheryl wasn't quite ready for today because she's in the middle of moving her studio.  So, she had us make a block using our scraps.  For this week's Quilters Playcation 2024 she made some small 'rainbows' and set them in her background.  I decided to do something a little easier.  I used some bigger chunks of scraps that were already sewn together and created a 'band' of color set in my Kona Snow background fabric.

TERRIBLE TUESDAY

 I'm still working on quilting the Snake quilt.  I ran into a few problems so shut it down a little earlier than I wanted.  Maybe things will be better tomorrow.

But, it's Tuesday, so it was Cheryl Arkison's Quilters Playcation 2024.  I thought, no problem, I can do this.  But, I have to change her instructions for a square block into some for a rectangular block like I'm making.  I pride myself on know quilt math.  But, I really blew it today.  I cut the parts too small and was so mad at myself.  I steamed for a while and then decided to do something to use those parts anyway.

I had to add spacers in the middle.  It turned out okay - but, it wasn't what I started out to make. So, I still a bit disappointed with myself.
