PEACH FIZZ IS A TOP

I've been working on piecing the blocks for the Peach Fizz quilt.  The curves are coming together very nicely with a lot of pinning.  I got all of the rows finished and sewn together this morning.

It's a top!

PEACH FIZZ ON THE WALL

I always said I'd never make a T-shirt quilt, but that's what I'm doing right now.  I cut up my Volunteer t-shirt from this year's Quiltcon.  It was the color of this year's Color of the Year by Pantone, Peach Fizz.  I added some more shades of peach, including a very dark rust-orange.  I threw in a few blues.  Then as I was putting the pieces up on the wall I decided it needed some white.  I looked through my stash, hoping I'd have a white with peach or orange little dots or something - and of course, I didn't.  So, I went with solid white.  The pieces still need to be sewn into blocks and assembled.

Here's how it looks today:

ALL SEWN TOGETHER

I got the blocks sewn together and the blocks sewn into a top just in time.

I'll need the design wall for this weekend's workshop.

ALL THE PARTS

I've been working furiously to get all of the parts cut out.

I need to get this project off the work wall for the coming workshop this weekend.

And, I got them all cut out today.  Yea!

Now, to start sewing them together.

IMPROVISING

Not sure I'm going with those pizzaz colors.  They don't seem to fit quite right.

AS WE GO

I've been working on cutting up these strip sets and turning them into Quarter Circle Arcs and parts.

It's fun.  But, I'm not sure if the colors are working, so I added some pizzaz.

CUT 'EM UP!

Because I wasn't happy with some strip sets I made a while back from the scraps from my 23/24 bin.

I put them away in August and brought them back out today - to cut them up.  I got a set of 12" quarter circle arcs from WarmFolk that I thought would be perfect for them.

So I cut them up.

But of course, I had to add some other fabrics.
