I've spent the last few days working on this, the fourth painting in my series I'm calling Vanilla Houses. So called, because of their common blandness (among other reasons). Its acrylic on canvas, 24" by 30".
I'll have to let this one rest for a while and come back to it with fresh eyes.

I like that you've added more blue tones. It seems like it has more contrast and depth then before. I like what this series is getting at because I'm so not a fan of such houses!

ReplyDeleteSo far, I really like this one too. However, I wonder if I've put too much color into it. Because part of the statement I'm trying to make about these housing developments is about their blandness, their sameness, and to show how unattractive they are.
