TWO FOR TUESDAY

Today's Watercolor Class at Daniel Smith with Jenna Howell featured two small paintings.

While Jenna was first giving us instructions and direction, I was rudely sketching my classmates.  So much fun!

I had to quickly catch up.

We all gather around Jenna as she shows how to approach the painting.

SIMPLIFY

Today's lesson at my watercolor class at Daniel Smith with Jenna Howell was about simplifying a scene and only painting what's important.

This was great fun.

Here's the photo we were working from

My finished painting.

NEW SKETCH BOOK BEGINS

I got a new sketchbook (because I mailed the other one back to Art Co-op House).  And I indulged in a new setup for my watercolors.  A really cool box from Daniel Smith.  Love it!  It comes with empty pans and you put your own colors in it.

NEW SERIES

Well, maybe a continuation of the Freeway Series in a more focused way.

I've agreed to hang some of my work and a friend's annual Art Show and Sale at her home in April. So....I think I need a group of small canvases that I can price at an affordable level.
I stopped at Daniel Smith's here in Seattle on my way home the other day and picked up seven 8x10" and three 9x12" canvases (on sale!).

One a day, just one a day...that's all I need to do!

Here's yesterday's: Spokane #1 - 8"x10" acrylic on canvas.

And here is today's: Spokane #2 - 8"x10" acrylic on canvas.
To be continued..................
