PNP3 AND A PLAN

 I made nine more little blocks today with a little different process.  This time I added the bias tape.  I was afraid I wouldn't like it, but I do!

I came up with a plan for a quilt.  I'm thinking I'll make a version of the quilt seen at the International Quilt Museum where Joe taught this workshop from.  (See post from last Saturday, it's in the picture with Joe).  Of course, I need more fabric than I have.  I went to Fat Quarter Shop online and was greatly surprised to discover they had all of the fabrics I need.  So, I'll be waiting for them all to get here.  It could be a week or more.  In the meantime, I have enough 'Kona Parsley' to put a border around each block to make them 8".  I got today's blocks done.

VIADUCT GOING

We went to Pike Place Market today.  I wanted some Polish Pottery in a bad way.  We had lunch at Copacabana Cafe on the second floor off Post Alley.  It was nice - the sun was out.  The food was just okay.

We went down to check out the Viaduct and how it's going - they are in the process of tearing it down.  The view wa definitely more enjoyable without the traffic noise.

I worked on a project from last fall's Joe Retreat and actually finished the top.  I don't know what I'm going to do with it now.  Should I just quilt it?  If so, then how?  Answers appreciated.  Thank you.

THURSDAY WITH JOE

Here is another great assignment.  Joe wanted us to work with bias tape.  He handed out a photo copy of this Louise Nevelson sculpture and said,  pick nine contiguous boxes and copy them with the bias tape.  

It was great - all week, Joe would play for us every once in a while.

Every day, Joe would lead us on a short walk at 3:15pm.  Today we walked down to Alderbrook Inn to see the salmon trying to head up this small creek to spawn.  It was interesting, amazing and very sad.

I finished my last block when we returned.  I'm not sure what to do with them now.  Any suggestions?
