I laid out the pages I have for the 100 Day Stitch Book project. I realized I needed one more to make it all work out. And I need to finish the others I had planned. Lots of work to do yet.

STITCHED ENVELOPE JOURNAL DONE
I stitched the signatures into the cover of the Stitched Envelope Journal this morning. Then I sewed on some buttons I found in my Grandma's Button Jar for the closure.
It's done.

MAKING A BAG
I was watching Making Zen, a free for 24 hours limited series of classes online, when I saw this bag, Japanese Puzzle Pouch. I had to make one. I've been working on it. The 'Worm' stitch (Sue Spargo calls it 'Double Cast On') was giving me trouble and I kept doing it wrong. I had to get out Sue's handy instruction book, Creative Stitching, to figure it out. Once I did that it was easy.
It's not quite done yet.

FACING ON TRACTOR BEAM
My poor Tractor Beam quilt has been languishing for almost a year. I got it quilted, then folded it up and it's been waiting to be finished. I got it out and trimmed it and cut some facing from the leftover backing and sewed it on yesterday. I took it into the house and handsewed it down onto the backing yesterday evening, but didn't finish.
I continued working on it in between setting up the longarm to quilt on the Snake quilt today. It needs to be done before Friday morning because I'm taking it to Puyallup to be in the Fair - along with a few other quilts.
I got it all sewn down by 4pm then took the lint brush to it and got the dog hair and stray threads off of it. I think it is ready!
And, I got the second row of the Snake quilt quilted. A good day.

FACED
I sewed the facing onto Amity Baroque using some of the excess backing that was trimmed off after quilting. I did have to add some Kona Pecan on the bottom edge.
This sateen backing was probably not a good idea. It's wonderfully soft, but there have been several 'pulled threads' which don't look very good.
I'm now in the process of hand sewing the facing onto the back of the quilt, today while listening to the Brave Patch group discussing our current book, Threads of Life by Clare Hunter.

HAND SEWING DURING GUILD MEETING
I attended the zoom meeting of Seattle Modern Quilt Guild tonight. And while I did I was working on my Rhythm in Blues quilt hand-sewing the facing down on the backing.

BINDING BY HAND
It's been a while since I've sewn a binding down by hand. It's a long slightly painful job.
But, it's gotta be done - and soon.
Binding and a sleeve for my quilt, Covid 19: Shards.
