FLOWER BINDING

We had a great morning walk, although it was cold enough for a dog jacket.  Jax refused to go - he'd rather stay home, bundled up in bed.

We saw this in the park.

Back home, I sewed the binding onto the Flower Power quilt.  I was surprised that the binding was too short.  Oh no!  Luckily I still had more of the pink fabric.  But what a pain it is to add this on while it's on the quilt.

I used just the 'dual feed' on my new Bernina.  I was not happy with how it performed.  I think I need a walking foot.

FLOWERS QUILTED

I put the Flower Power quilt on to Eduard yesterday and finished it up today.

I think I finally figured out this computerized pantograph thing.

I helped Eduard work on this and in between I was sewing the City Sampler blocks into rows.  I love it.

BACK AND LABEL

I put the back for Flower Power together and made a label for it.

I used the leftover triangles from making the top.

Hand inked label.

SUNDAY THE NINTH

Darrell went with us for our morning walk, after we got our early morning grocery shopping done.
He likes to take pictures, here he is trying to get a shot of the morning light shining through the ferns.  Jax was confused.

We took Nicole and Victoria out for lunch at Coastline Burgers to celebrate Victoria's birthday.  Then we walked through the Farmer's Market at the Junction.

Then, since she's 18, Victoria got a tattoo.

I spent the afternoon working on Flower Power again.  I got the other flower head done, then started on the 'leaves', but I didn't finish them.

V'S BIRTHDAY

Today is Victoria's 18th birthday.  She's all grown up.  Happy Birthday!

I finished cutting up the fabrics for the Flower Power kit that I had started cutting yesterday.

Then I chain-pieced the first half of one of the blocks.

Bentley is also enjoying the new bed I got for the dogs.

We went to Julie and Jeff's to celebrate Steve's Retirement.  Yea!
