DIVIDE AND CONQUER

 Okay, I want to tame my fabric stash.  I need to re-home the things I don't 'love' and organize what I do.

In order to organize my overflowing scrap bins (yes, I have two large bins) I'm going to sort them into colors.  I bought 12 new smaller bins and labeled them with twelve colors, from Joen Wolfrom's color card.  

Now begins the Herculean task of actually identifying each color and getting them into the correct bin.  But, it will be so cool when it's done, right?

I got a few little triangular blocks made first thing this morning, after our early walk in the park.

Then I took all of the squares I've cut up from the bigger scraps in the scrap bucket and put them into the new drawers with the dividers.  I tried stacking them by color - not as easy as it sounds.

Finally, after everything dried out a bit from the deluge of rain last night, we got to work on the deck.  We managed to get three more boards down.  At one point, the rain started again.  We moved all of the tools inside, and about the time we got that done, the rain stopped.  So, we brought it all back out and carried on.

We're getting close to that half way mark.

Rain, rain, rain.  I did manage to get a walk in before the deluge started, but after that the rain came down pretty hard.  We didn't work on the deck at all - well, Darrell did connect some more long boards with his 'S' joint, but we didn't get any work done outside.

I spent the morning working in the studio.  I made a back for the green churn dash quilt.  I had to name it so I could make a label.  It is now called "Verdant".  Hello.

I made some time to work on my #100dayproject2020, getting 5 more blocks done.

Darrell cut some strips for me to glue into my new drawer cabinet.  This will be were I store the squares and pieces from the scrap bucket.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

First things first is to take this box with the Wallflower quilt in it to the Post Office and get it started on it's journey to Virginia, it's new home.

So cool [my first sale!!].

The dogs had to wait in the car and then we went for our walk.

I finished up sewing the 'red' circles into the middle of the wedge circles, then squared down the blocks and sewed them all together.  The top is done.

I like it.

He made a bookshelf for me to store all of the Kona Solids I've been collecting.  I put a coat of primer on it in the driveway and was attacked by mosquitos. 

Here I am, doing the wrong kind of painting again.
