ENCHANTED QUILTED

This quilt was made with a charm pack of 42 5" squares called Enchanted.  So, this quilt has been named Enchanted.  Me and Erik quilted it today.  Erik was making problems for me again.  But, that was okay,  I'm getting pretty good and finding ways around his problems.  So, the quilt got quilted and it looks good.

QUILTED NEXT UFO

I got the July UFO Challenge quilted today.

The longarm had a  glitch after the first run and froze up.  I had to close the app, which lost the program.  But, after a bit of fiddling I was able to reprogram it and get it lined up accurately and going again.  I used an allover pantograph.

This is not the first time the app has done that.  It is very annoying.  But I am getting better at restoring a lost program and lining it up.  But, I should probably look into why this is happening and make my life easier.

ROUND AND ROUND QUILTED

After a few setbacks with Erik the longarm and help from Katrina at Bernina of Renton, in Washington, I got Erik up and running smoothly with a new pantograph.  He stitched out a vine pattern on the Round and Round quilt top, now named 'Not Enough Zucchini'.

It took most of the day, and it looks great.

FINISH NUMBER TEN

I made the bias binding and sewed it onto the previously quilted "Sing Your Song" baby quilt.

So it is complete!

It is Finish #10 for the year.

This is a small quilt, 27" by 35" made from a small Charm Pack of only 24 5" squares interspersed with a dark grey Kona and quilted by computer on my B24 longarm.

NEXT UFO QUILTED

I sewed these Charm Pack squares together yesterday to make a very small top.  There was only 24 of them so I just added more 5" squares instead of making half square triangles out of them.  I boldly chose a dark grey for the alternate blocks.  And I boldly chose yellow thread for the densely quilted top.

Today I quilted it with an allover pantograph.

FINISH #8 FOR THE YEAR

Here's another little quilt I made from a charm pack called "Once Upon a Time".

I quilted a pantograph on it, made some binding and sewed it on and now it's finished.

Finish #8 Once Upon a Time, 32" by 40" with a white flannel backing.

FINISH #6

I made the binding out of the same background fabric for the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild's Block of the Month 2024 quilt, "Like Totally", yesterday.

Today I sewed it on.  And I lost the game of binding length.  It was less than 6" short and I had to stop and cut a strip and sew it on to the binding end.  [notice that beautiful backing]

This quilt is done.  It is Finish #6 for the year.  It is 64" by 80"

QUILTING SEATTLE BOM 2024

I finished this top at the end of 2024.  It is the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild's Block of the Month for 2024 called "Like Totally".  Pattern by @imfeelingcrafty.  I had bought a Tula Pink sateen backing fabric for it but am now just getting to quilting it.  I set it up with a wave pantograph using varigated green and white thread.  I got it loaded and started today but didn't finish it.

QUILTING BATIK QUILT

Here's one of the quilts that my friend Mary sent to me.  I volunteered to do the quilting on a few for her.  They are quilts donated to her quilting group to help raise funds.

I got the quilting on this one done this weekend.

I used a bottle to help keep the quilt top stretched a bit which really helped.

OUT OF AFRICA IS QUILTED

I finished quilting the Out of Africa quilt today.  I used Erik's computer skills to have him quilt a pantograph.  There were a few hiccups.  The top thread broke (shredded) a few times in quick succession, so I gave Erik (the longarm) a good cleaning and changed the needle.  Then everything was great again and it stitched out beautifully.

COLOR STAR QUILTED

I've been busy doing other stuff the last few days and getting the business B&O Taxes filed and paid by the end of the month.

But, today I was back to quilt Color Star on the longarm.

And now it is officially quilted and off the machine.

NEXT UFO TO DO

November's UFO Challenge is my Color Star quilt top.  I made a backing using greys and black and white prints from my stash.  I didn't put a label on it.  The center of this quilt was a printed panel of the color star.  I had added some black fabric to the top and bottom of it to make it rectangular.  Then I added the four borders using coordinating fabrics and put it away.  It was not yet big enough for a twin sized quilt, so I added another plain black border to make it 66" by 80" when I pulled it out to finish.

I loaded the backing onto the longarm yesterday.  Today I added the batting and the top and got busy setting up a pantograph and starting the quilting on it .  I only got one pass made before it was time to go in for the day.

BROKEN BRICKS QUILTED

I finished the quilting on the Broken Bricks quilt.  I used the same pantograph I used on the Plaid Bricks quilt, but I made it a little smaller.  It quilts out really nice.

PLAID BRICKS DONE QUILTING

I finished up the second half of the quilting on the Plaid Bricks quilt.

It looks great.  This pantograph stitched very nicely and it looks great with the straight lines of the quilt.

QUILTING BRICKS

I loaded the Plaid Brick quilt onto the longarm and set up a pantograph, "Jax", and got it going. It's quilting out very nicely and looks great.

TUESDAY PLAYTIME QUILTED

Erik and I have been computer quilting on the Tuesday Playtime quilt, formally known as Quilters Playcation 2024, for a a few weeks now, off and on.  And it's finally done and off the longarm.  Just needs to be bound now.
