COFFEE AT STARBUCKS

We wanted to go to Starbucks this morning and drink our coffees and have breakfast.  He wanted to work on his new iPad.  I wanted to sketch.

We're just like the other people we see in here now.

DAY 20

Today's prompt for #30daysketchbookchallenge is "Your Favorite Shop".

I don't do much shopping anymore, unless it's online.  The place I shop the most is probably Amazon.  But, I do go to Starbucks almost everyday, so Starbucks it is.

DAY 2 2023

Here's Day 2 of the 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge.  Today's prompt was 'Sweets & Treats".

I got a mocha at Starbucks for a sweet and found this image of a Cupcake Royale cupcake to pretend it was in front of it.

This is what the sky looked like on our morning walk in Lincoln Park.  Of course, the temperature dropped now that the clouds are moving out.  It was 31* - can't complain too much.

INT'L DOG DAY

We stopped at Starbucks to get my morning coffee and Jelly got a Pupachino because it's International Dog Day.

She had half and we took the rest home to Jax, who saved it for after his morning Chicken Jerky treat.

65

When I was young I never thought about actually getting to be 65.  But, here it is, such as it is.

Happy Birthday to me!  Life is good.

I started the day out attending a zoom Sketching PlayLab workshop with Paul and Suhita.  They provided a reference photo.  We did a lot of thumbnails and then sketched it.

I really enjoyed it.

Then when I went grocery shopping I got a piece of GF birthday cake, Chocolate Pistachio, and I sketched it, along with my free birthday coffee from Starbucks.

I'll have some of it after dinner tonight.

LITTLE SKETCHBOOK

We were in the grocery store, waiting in line, and I was taken by these little sketchbooks they had on display.  So I bought one - it was only $2!

It will fit in my pocket and go with me - everywhere.

STARBUCKS SLEEVE

Everytime I grab a cardboard sleeve to put around my hot coffee when I pick it up at Starbucks I feel a little guilty.  So, I made a sleeve today.  I used up some more of those scraps from Seasons and sewed them onto a foundation of Insulbright.

Neato.

I also got the vacuum out and dusted the studio and my Bernina.  I'm getting ready for the Joe Retreat.  I'm leaving tomorrow.
