PILLOWCASE

We did our regular Sunday morning grocery shopping but with Jeffery.  

Then we took the dogs for a walk in Lincoln Park.

I was thrilled to get close enough to this little Chestnut-backed Chickadee.  There's a tree with a big with a hole in it that holds water.  The birds come to drink from it.

 Darrell and Jeffery went for a bike ride on Alki.  When they came back, Jeffery and I made a pillowcase from the Seahawk's fabric he had picked out yesterday.

JEFFREY DAY

Jeffrey came to spend a few days with us.  We started out with breakfast at Lowell's at the Market.  We wandered around the Market for a bit and walked around town, looking at the architecture.  I think he enjoyed that.

We left downtown and headed to The Museum of Flight, which opened at 10am.  We arrived to find quite a line to get in.  This is the last weekend of the exhibit Destination: Moon with artifacts from the Apollo 11 flight to the moon, including the actual capsule.  We all enjoyed the exhibit.

We explored the rest of the museum, too.  Darrell loved seeing some of the older airplane models.  I sketched a few while we were there.

I sketched 'The City of Auburn' and some of the planes overhead while Darrell and Jeffery went in the flight simulator.

HERE WE GO

Last weekend, as I was about to give up, I found the perfect pantograph for the Fancy Forest quilt.  Someone posted on FB the name of the design that Elizabeth Hartman used on the original - which was what I had wanted from the beginning.  Yea!  I immediately went to UrbanElementz.com and ordered it.  I paid extra for expedited shipping.  We'll see how that goes during this holiday shipping frenzy.

The package arrived on Thursday.  I got it all set up and on my day off Friday, I started quilting on it.  I got about 4 rows done before we left for the day to take grandson Jeffery downtown.  [He had been spending a few days with us so that he can make a little table with his Grandfather].

We went to Seattle Center, had lunch, then spent a few hours watching Jeffery climb around on the play structure next to MoPop and run around the ledge of the fountain.
