Hi Terry, I took the following picture on April 18, 2015 at Magnuson park, Seattle. I emailed the Bird Banding Laboratory at Maryland with description of this sighting (including the picture) but they were not able to track it. Of course, I am not sure if these pictures are of the same individual, but it would be intersting to find some information about this unusual tagging. https://flic.kr/p/rff7HG Daniel
One of the guys I work with, who also saw the bird, contacted Washington State Fish and Game. They said the bird had been captured at an airport, and they tagged it to keep track of it. I guess to see if it returned to the airport or not. I don't know if this is correct information or not. I need to follow it up.

ReplyDeleteI would recommend contacting Bud Anderson at the Falcon Research Group website. If he didn't tag it he will know who did.
