I left St. Ignace as the sun was rising and crossed the Mackinac Bridge. It was a beautiful morning.
Then I drove, and drove and drove until I got to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
I got lost and had to stop and ask directions because there was absolutely no cell service. A very nice young lady at a winery was very helpful. Waze had taken me way off course. So, I still had a long drive to the visitors center.
I was too hot and tired to stop and sketch, so I continued on. I needed to get away from the park to find a room for the night. So, I drove and drove and drove. I only made it to Mt. Pleasant where I spent the night.
